Sunrise Billabong Barra Fishing Charter

The Sunrise Billabong Barra Charter is one of our popular half day Dry season tours. Not only a fishing charter but a chance to see the wildlife up close. With up to four per boat you will have more personalised encounters with the wildlife and with you your guide.

Sunrise Charters are to either Corroboree Billabong, Hardies Lagoon or Shady Camp. These waterways are on the Mary River system a catchment area is over 8,000 square kilometres with a total of ten tributaries. After the wet season the flood plains have receded a series of billabongs. These billabongs are left holding barramundi, saratoga and tarpon in their waters and the wildlife to congregate for the dry. This is the ideal opportunity to wildlife spot and go fishing.

Your Charter

Your charter includes complimentary pickup from your hotel at 5:00am in an accredited air-conditioned 4WD.  You will have the opportunity to grab breakfast at one of the road houses along the way.

Meals included with your charter is morning tea, snacks and light refreshments whilst on board.  These are offered and available throughout the morning whilst fishing.

Lures and tackle are provided on a replace if lost or broken basis. If you are a fly fisherman you are welcome to bring your own.

Your guide is friendly and has been fishing these waters for over 16 years.  He is very knowledageable about the area and the wildlife.
