Shady Camp Barra Charters Darwin

One Day Barra Fishing Charter Darwin

About our Barramundi Charters Darwin

With over 16 years experience, our experienced guides are able to adapt to the fishing conditions on the day to ensure you get the best possible fishing experience. If your a seasoned angler or just starting out, we have the appropriate fishing tackle for your needs. You will also be guided through basic fishing techniques for beginners and tips and tricks for the more seasoned angler to land more barra.

Shady Camp is one of those Top End Fishing locations that is unique to the NT. Not only do you have the opportunity to fish a Freshwater Billabong, but also a Saltwater River on the right tides and season. Shady Camp is a Mecca for both fishing and wildlife.

Shady Camp Billabong is located above the Shady Camp Barrage, holding barra that has been feeding off the flats from the wet season and runoff. It also supports are large amount of wildlife, including crocodiles, jabirus and the odd buffalo. We offer charters for up to 4 passengers per boat and able to cater for larger groups.
Shady Camp Fishing Charters run year round with each season bringing a different style of fishing. The wet and runoff are famous for chasing metre barra. During the Dry Season we target smaller barra in the billabong either casting or trolling. Not only target barra, saratoga are also targeted by anglers which are caught during the Dry season. The Buildup prior to the Wet sees the action fire up again. The big barra come back into the rivers to breed and we also see threadfin salmon arrive for anglers.
